Ferguson slams Anglo American over QR bid collapse
Federal resources minister Martin Ferguson slammed coal mining company Anglo American last week for causing the collapse of the $5.1bn bid by 10 coal companies to acquire Queensland's coal and freight rail network.

The collapse of the coalition’s bid ensured that the state's rail and train network would be floated as a whole.
Mr Ferguson has opposed the QR National float as he believes will stifle competition in Queensland's coal export chain.
Mr Ferguson told the Australian Financial Review: "I think the actions of Anglo are unforgiveable."
Anglo American’s London board stymied its participation in the Queensland Coal Industry Rail Group’s bid late in the piece.
