Nepean appoints new general manager of business development
Nepean Conveyors has chosen Paul Charlton for the new, specially created position of general manager of business development. When announcing the appointment on September 21st the company said the role is pivotal to meeting its growth targets.
Paul Charlton was appointed general manager of business development on September 21st.
Coming from a global mining and manufacturing organisation, Mr Charlton has held several senior management positions and consequently has a significant amount of experience in the mining industry.
Nepean said Mr Charlton has a strong engineering background and more recently has been involved in the ever-changing emissions and energy efficiency field.
In his new role, Mr Charlton will report to the managing director of Nepean Conveyors, Mick Thew. “As Nepean Conveyors positions itself for substantial growth, Paul’s appointment is pivotal to enable the business to meet its targets in conveying solutions, both in Australia and overseas,” Mr Thew said.
Mr Charlton’s appointment is the latest in a series of new hires made by Nepean, all aimed at supporting its growth in the Australian conveyor market. On September 22nd it announced the appointment of Col Poulter as general manager of structural steel and on August 10th Brett Anderson was named as manager for WA.
